I was asked to design a cash back email campaign for Colourbox, to persuade users who'd already purchased a single image, to sign up for a plan. When they sign up, they'll get a discount matching the price of the image you'd already bought.
We tend to delete commercial emails, before even reading them, so to catch the users attention before this happens, I use the image which the user had purchased as background, both in the campaign mail and on the campaign site. I created the pink/orange focus area with a switch, for the user to toggle between the different plans in an easy and intuitive way. Also added a label telling the user, that they can cancel the subscription at any time, to ensure them, that they are not tied up in any way.
